Grand Opening

I am very pleased to announce the grand opening of the new Pentuner.com! I have been away from the community for a couple years now, and I am happy to once again have the opportunity to offer my services to the fountain pen community.
In 2018 I sold my home and had to pack up my pen workshop for a move from Florida to Michigan. While I was in Michigan I reopened for a short while and took a few orders, but in short order I had to move again back to Florida! I closed the workshop and everything had to be packed again for another move.
I permanently relocated back to Florida in late 2019. I have purchased my home, but there was no space in my new house to set up the pen workshop. In my old Florida house (pre-2018) I had the benefit of a massive 900sq.ft. workshop on my property that I no longer have! To solve this problem, I recently secured an office in a commercial warehouse that I can dedicate to Pentuner. I will have a space totally committed to Pentuner.com, my workbench, my grinding, tuning, and restoration tools, and my pens. I am very excited for the potential this space offers and the growth of my website.
So what is in the future for Pentuner? Well, for the next year I plan to make myself known in the community again and resume pen tuning services. I genuinely enjoy working on pens, and I want to simply enjoy getting back to what I love doing. Maybe after the first 3-6 months, I plan to start expanding the website to include some light retail offerings. Now that I have the space, I want to incorporate a few pens and inks and other ephemera for sale.
In particular, I have recently become interested in Indian ebonite fountain pens. I will have a few for sale soon on the site now as a test run, and I think I could easily see a future where I regularly stock the Indian ebonite pens. I will dedicate a future blog post to this topic entirely.
I have a few other ideas swirling around, so stay tuned to see what I come up with next.
Thanks for reading this far. I've never written a blog before, so I don't really know what I'm doing. I was told to write this like a conversation and not a formal written essay, so hopefully you found it somewhat entertaining :)
Please check out the Store, and feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions. I'm so excited to be open and I look forward to hearing from you!
